It's difficult not to notice the colorful, positive and unique public art that popped up in Downtown Mount Clemens this summer. In addition to being nice to look at, the public art is inspiring conversation and community spirit.
In the works since 2013, an effort by the Clinton River Watershed Council, residents and businesses and a grant from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s Public Spaces Community Places program has resulted in the opening of a new kayak launch at MacArthur Park in Mount Clemens.

In a deal brokered by our Susan Blanchard, CARE of Southeastern Michigan announced that they will be opening its first recovery care community center. In addition to featuring expert care and counseling, the center will offer career planning, job training, support groups and more.
