The first annual The Warmth of Music fundraiser for the Macomb County Warming Center was held on March 25 at O'Halloran's Public House in Mount Clemens. Our Joe Sowerby stepped up to the plate, to serve his late mother's legacy, after learning that the center would be losing $40,000 in state and federal funding. The event raised over $26,000 between sponsorships, ticket sales and raffles.
Joe Sowerby refers to the Macomb County Warming Shelter as a “humanitarian jewel”. Located in downtown Mount Clemens, the shelter was founded in 2001, after a brutal winter claimed the lives of several homeless in the area.

O'Halloran's Public House, located at 112 Macomb Place, is celebrating their 1 year anniversary tomorrow with a complimentary slider bar from 5-7 p.m., live classic rock by The Aspersions and drink special throughout the night. In a deal brokered by Joe Sowerby, the pub opened last fall and has created a warm, inviting atmosphere with great food.
